چکیده

The future heavy-ion experiment CBM (FAIR/GSI, Darmstadt, Germany) will focus on the measurement of rare probes at interaction rates up to 10 MHz with data flow of up to 1 TB/s. The beam will provide free stream of particles without bunch structure. That requires full online event reconstruction and selection not only in space, but also in time, socalled 4D event building and selection. This is a task of the First-Level Event Selection (FLES) package. The FLES reconstruction and selection package consists of several modules: track finding, track fitting, short-lived particles finding, event building and event selection. The input data are distributed within the FLES farm in a form of so-called time-slices, in which time length is proportional to a compute power of a processing node. A time-slice is reconstructed in parallel between cores within a CPU, thus minimising communication between CPUs. After all tracks of the whole time-slice are found and fitted, they are collected into clusters of tracks originated from common primary vertices. After that short-lived particles are found and the full event building process is finished.

Speed Optimization of the CA Based Track Finder in the CBM Experiment

The cellular automaton (CA) based track finder (CAT) will be used both for off-line and for on-line track reconstruction in the CBM experiment [1]. Thus very fast and flexible realisation of the CAT algorithm is required. Therefore, the standalone CAT has been modified for time optimization and execution parallelization. First, the number of considered combinations of hits to find track segment...

Event Reconstruction in the Cbm Trd

A description, results and the current status of the track-finding routines developed for the Transition Radiation Detector (TRD) of the CBM experiment are presented. The trackfinding algorithm is based on the Kalman Filter and track following methods. Two different approaches have been used: a standalone TRD track-finder (using only TRD information) and an algorithm based on the information fr...

Track Reconstruction in the STAR TPC with a CA Based Approach

STAR [1] is an active collider heavy-ion experiment at RHIC/BNL (Upton, USA). The main tracking detector of the experiment is the Time Projection Chamber (TPC). Due to the collision rate increasing (up to 40 KHz for Au+Au 200 GeV/n and up to 1 MHz for pp 500 GeV) and recording rate (up to 10 KHz) the STAR experiment requires a fast track reconstruction procedure which can deal with high track d...

A Cellular Automaton Based Algorithm for Mobile Sensor Gathering

In this paper we proposed a Cellular Automaton based local algorithm to solve the autonomously sensor gathering problem in Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (MWSN). In this problem initially the connected mobile sensors deployed in the network and goal is gather all sensors into one location. The sensors decide to move only based on their local information. Cellular Automaton (CA) as dynamical sy...
